Dartmouth Middle library hosting documentary film screening

Sep 19, 2016

The Dartmouth Middle School library and the Dartmouth Middle School National Junior Honor Society will be hosting a screening of the documentary film “Screenagers” on September 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Dartmouth Middle School. Tickets cost a donation of $5 per family or $5 per individual. Refreshments will also be available at the door.

“Screenagers,” produced by Seattle physician and mother Dr. Delaney Ruston, explores the topic of technology use in young people’s lives. Through interviews with researchers, academics, and Ruston’s own experience with her children, the film explores how technology use in young people affects their lives and their development, and offers parents tips to deal with the ever changing technological landscape.

Before the screening, six Dartmouth Middle School students will present public service announcement videos they created about social media use. A short discussion will follow the screening.
