On Sunday, Feb. 7, the Westport Land Conservation Trust and Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust will be hosting the Super Bowl Walk, a hike that extends from the Slocum’s River in Dartmouth to the Westport River in Westport.

Taking place the morning of the Super Bowl, the walk will extend over land that is not usually open to the public. The Westport Rivers Winery will be opening its doors to greet hikers with tastings and bottles of local wine will also be available for purchase.

The walk will begin at 11 a.m. at the Slocum’s River Reserve parking lot on Horseneck Road in Dartmouth. Transportation will be provided back to the parking lot with plenty of time before the game.

Trails may be icy, snowy or muddy. Proper footwear is required. A suggested donation of $5 per person will help offset transportation costs. Wine tastings are an additional $10 per person at the winery. Register online at www.westportlandtrust.org. Registration is required.
