Dartmouth Police located and arrested a Level 3 sex offender who allegedly failed to register with the town.

According to Dartmouth Police, detectives received credible information about the whereabouts of Brad Santos. Police had previously issued a plea on its Facebook page for information relating to the 41-year-old’s location, noting that he had allegedly failed to complete a yearly sex offender registration process.

Police issued that plea on September 5.

Santos was located and taken into custody without incident by a Dartmouth police detective at a local motel, with assistance from patrol officers.

According to his entry in the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board’s database, he was convicted of indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older in 1997.
