Dartmouth Police Relief Association to host summer concert
The Dartmouth Police Relief Association will host the Concert on the Green 2016 on Saturday, July 30, at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's Vietnam Veterans Peace Memorial Amphitheater.
D.J. Gene Daniels will open the live show at 5 p.m., followed by Heart tribute band, Crazy on You, to perform at 8 p.m.
Email dpaldpra@comcast.net for tickets. Tickets are $10 for adults; kids ages 12 and under are free. Get free tickets by donating to the Dartmouth Police Relief Association instead during the fundraising period. Checks must be made out to the Dartmouth Police Relief Association.
Concert-goers can enjoy the music or head over to the picnic area for hamburgers, hotdogs, and other sandwiches. Beer and wine will also be served.
The event will also include a classic car cruise-in, with dash plaques and free admission for the first 100 cars. The event will feature 50/50 raffles and prizes, glow sticks for the kids, mardi gras beads, face painting, and "dunk-a-cop."
The Concert on the Green event began in 2002 to replace the long tradition of the Policemen's Ball. Visit dpaldpra.org for more information.
