One Dartmouth scout received a special visit from his heroes in blue in time for the annual scouting tradition: Pinewood Derby Day.

Dartmouth Police officers had learned that Trustin Haskell, 8, had entered into the competition with his own homemade pinewood mock-up of a Dartmouth police cruiser, owing to his appreciation of the department.

Officers showed up to the derby to surprise Haskell, and cheered him on during the race. He was also given a special gift: A radio controlled police car, and a DPD hat and patch.
