Dartmouth Rotary Club to host chess tournament

The Rotary Club of Dartmouth will be hosting its first annual Scholastic Chess Tournament on September 17, 9-1 p.m., at the Dartmouth Middle School.

The competition is open to all southeastern Massachusetts students through grade 12. Both public and private school students of all skill levels are welcomed.

The tournament will be conducted by U.S. Chess Foundation Tournament Director Robert Salvas. Awards will be presented by the South Eastern New England Chess Association (SENECA).

There is a non-refundable, $5 online registration fee; $10 registration fee at the door. Register online at senecachess.org. Boards and chess pieces, as well as refreshments, will be supplied.
