Dartmouth Public Schools will be closed from March 16 to 20, the district announced on Friday.

During the closure, the district will deep clean all schools and take time to reassess the coronavirus situation.

In a tweet, Superintendent Dr. Bonny Gifford said that there have been no known cases of the virus in the school system.

In order to continue to offer educational materials, the school system has set up an Extended Learning website containing suggested resources and activities for students to continue learning at home.

The website is available at sites.google.com/dartmouthschools.org/dps-extended-learning.

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association has also postponed the start of the spring sports season until March 30.
