Dartmouth spring teams head into postseason play

All but one of Dartmouth High School’s spring sports teams will be moving forward in postseason play as of Tuesday, May 27.

As of presstime the power rankings for girls and boys tennis have been released. Remaining spring teams will see season rankings released Wednesday, May 28.

Winning 13 of their 16 matches this season, the boys tennis team is headed straight into the first round of the state tournament. The team is set to face Plymouth North High School on Thursday, May 29 at 4 p.m. at Dartmouth High School.

Having won 10 of their 16 matches, the girls tennis team made it into postseason play and has already begun to see success. After winning the preliminary round against North Quincy High School, the team has advanced to the first round of the state tournament.

The match will take place away Thursday, May 29 at 4:30 p.m. against Westwood High School.

The baseball team has gone 15-5 this season. The team saw their most recent victory against Hingham High School, going 2-0, Sunday, May 25.

Softball went 12-8 this spring. Facing the Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs Friday, May 23, the team came out victorious, 15-2.

Girls Lacrosse saw a record of 13-5 this season and will be moving on to postseason play. The girls celebrated their most recent victory against Fairhaven High School Monday, May 26, 10-4.

Unfortunately, with a record of 4-9, the boys lacrosse team will not be moving forward to postseason play.
