Dartmouth students awarded Southcoast Health scholarships

Three Dartmouth students were among 18 Southcoast-area high school seniors that were awarded scholarships from the Southcoast Health Ambassadors, a non-profit affiliated with the Southcoast Health network.

The students — who plan on pursuing higher education in health-related fields in September — were each given a scholarship of $1,000 on behalf of St. Luke’s Hospital.

Recipients include:

Lauren Novo who graduated from Dartmouth High and received the Dr. Richard H. Warburton Memorial Scholarship. Novo plans to attend Emmanuel College and follow a career path in biology and pre-med.

Emma Tetrault who graduated from Dartmouth High and received the Southcoast Behavioral Scholarship. She plans to attend George Washington University and follow a career path in psychology.

Sarah Lopes who graduated from New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High and received the Ann Porter Memorial Scholarship. She plans to attend St. Anselm’s College and follow a career path in nursing.

The scholarships were awarded on June 14 during a ceremony at Rachel’s Lakeside in Dartmouth.
