David C. Perry, 61, of New Bedford, died on August 27, 2019 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was the husband of Rita M. (Thompson) Robar-Perry to whom he was married in 1989 and shared a total of 34 years together.

Born in New Bedford, son of Isabel (Nascimento) Perry and the late Russell J. Perry, he was raised in Dartmouth and later resided in Rochester and New Bedford. David was employed at Stillwater Fasteners in Freetown.

In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, restoring antique cars, and spending time with family and friends.

His family includes his wife, Rita Robar-Perry of Rochester; his mother, Isabel Perry of Dartmouth; his son, Jason R. Perry of Dartmouth; his step-daughter, April Robar; his sister, Heidi Carvalho and her husband, Burt of Dartmouth and his niece, Shannon Carvalho.
