District No. 2 offering CPR training classes

Dartmouth Fire District No. 2 is will be holding American Heart Association certified Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training at its Russells Mills Road station.

Participants will learn compressions and how to use and automated external defibrillator.

“Even though it’s just the basics, the basics help a lot,” Deputy Chief Wayne Thomas said.

Residents who live in District No. 2 can attend the classes for free. Those who live out of the district will be required to pay $45 for the session.

Class sizes will be limited to 12 people, but more sessions will be scheduled if there is enough interest.
