Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, will be celebrated this year at UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, November 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Main Auditorium.

A major cultural event, Diwali is associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and wealth. The UMass Dartmouth celebration will include two hours of nonstop entertainment with 15 performances followed by an authentic vegetarian Indian dinner.

Tickets are $10. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the show starts at 5.
