Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust will be kicking off a new collaboration with UMass Dartmouth biology professor and Director of the Beecology Project Dr. Robert Gegear by hosting two free pollinator-themed events.
On Thursday, September 26, Dr. Gegear will lead a discussion on the worldwide decline of pollinators, what that means for food security, and what residents can do to help protect and restore native pollination systems and biodiversity in their own backyards.
The discussion will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at DNRT’s headquarters at Helfand Farm, 318 Chase Road.
This event is free, but registration is required. For more information or to register, call (508) 991-2289 or visit dnrt.org.
