A New Bedford resident was transported to the hospital following a crash on Tucker Road on Sunday.

Police said 32-year-old Carlos Ares was driving the 2014 Toyota Camry that crashed around 4:30 p.m. on August 20 in the area of 824 Tucker Road, although the cause in unclear.

A witness at the scene said it appeared that the vehicle struck a tree and came to rest in a set of shrubs on the roadside. The scene was cleared by 5 p.m.
