Off-duty Dartmouth officer performs CPR on man at restaurant

An off-duty Dartmouth police officer performed CPR on a man suffering an apparent heart attack.

According to Dartmouth police, Officer Lisa Dacosta was off duty at Gumbo's Restaurant, located on State Road, on January 12 when a 57-year-old man suffered an apparent heart attack.

Dacosta immediately began to perform CPR on the man until EMS and other first responders arrived.

The man, who was not identified by police, was transported to an area hospital. His condition is unclear.
