Earth Day night hike, April 21
The Lloyd Center for the Environment will host a night hike on Earth Day.
The two-hour hike will start at 6:30 p.m. Visitors can head to the center's 430 Potomska Road location.
Participants can expect to learn about nocturnal animals, the sounds that they make, and explore the woods to find where these creatures are hiding. For a fun Earth Day twist, participants will also learn about ways to make their own backyards more interesting for wildlife visitors.
Participants should dress for the weather.
Lloyd Center members pay $6 for an individuals and $18 for a family of four; for non-members, the cost is $8 per individual and $24 for a four-person family. All ages are welcome.
