Hours before the big holiday, the Easter Bunny made a quick appearance in Bliss Corner to provide families photos and fun outside the Stackhouse Club on Faith Street.

The event was hosted by couple John and Megan Bussiere and helped raise money for their daughter’s dance team.

“Once again, this was all Megan,” John said with a laugh. “I just show up and do whatever I’m told.”

Last year, the event was limited to just photos with the bunny. 

With transmission lower and around two-thirds of the town vaccinated, the Bussieres, with the help of family friend Sarah Melo, were able to expand the event to include cupcakes and games.

There was also an Easter egg hunt that saw dozens of kids rush out and fill their baskets.

“It was just like — woosh,” Melo said. “All of a sudden they were just out there.”

While it was a quick event, the organizers said they were happy to see so many smiling faces again.

“We just wanted to team up and give the kids something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon,” Melo said.
