Episcopal churches to offer blessing of animals and pets

Sep 26, 2016

St. Peter's Episcopal Church will offer a blessing of animals and pets on Sunday, October 2 in honor of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. Pets of all sizes and shapes (dogs, cats, goldfish, hamsters, turtles, birds, snakes, and all others) are welcome. Children are invited to bring their stuffed animals as well to be blessed. Please have your pet on a leash, in a pet carrier, cage or aquarium.

The blessing will take place as part of the 10:30 a.m. worship service of Holy Eucharist. The church welcomes all community members, regardless of current faith tradition.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church is located at 351 Elm Street.
