Fall River man arrested on gun, drug and shoplifting charges
A Fall River man was arrested on gun, drug and shoplifting charges, after police responded to a report of shoplifting at the Kohl’s on Faunce Corner Road on Saturday, Aug. 17, according to the Dartmouth Police Department.
A traffic stop of Carlos Pina Silva, 38, of Fall River, revealed stolen merchandise, a small amount of suspected crack cocaine and a loaded .22 caliber firearm with a defaced serial number, which had been found in the trunk, according to police.
Police placed Silva into custody on charges of shoplifting by asportation, receiving a firearm with a defaced number, improper storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card and possession of a class B drug, according to Dartmouth Police.
