Film and discussion on seeds and GMOs set for Dartmouth Grange

Aug 18, 2015

"Open Sesame: The Story of Seeds" will be shown on Aug. 29 to be followed by a discussion at the Dartmouth Grange.

The film focuses on seeds, with corporate-owned, genetically modified seeds accounting for 82 percent of the world-wide market. 90 percent of the fruit and vegetable varieties that existed 100 years ago no longer exist today.

The film by M. Sean Kaminsky discusses what is at stake and what can be done to protect the source of our food.

The Dartmouth Grange and Massachusetts Right to Know GMOs will present the film screening from 7 to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, though donations are accepted. Refreshments will be served. For more information, visit marighttoknow.org/SOS_DartmouthGrange.
