Fire District No. 3 is inviting the public to stop by the station on October 22 for a three-hour, open house event featuring demonstrations and fun for the kids.

The event runs 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The cooking fires demo starts at 11 a.m.; jaws of life at 11:45 a.m.; lunch from Papa Ginos at 12:15 p.m. The event will also include a fire truck bouncy house, the opportunity to spray a fire hose, the  chance to climb on a fire truck, and a meet-and-greet with Sparky the fire dog and District No. 3 firefighters.

The event will be held at District No. 3 headquarters, located at 140 Cross Road.
