Fire District Prudential Committee elections for all three districts will be held on April 29 this year at three fire stations across Dartmouth.

Polls will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the day.

Voters will decide who gets to fill one seat from each district’s Prudential Committee, which oversees all fire district policies and finances.

In District 1, ex-Waterways Commission member Kevin Murphy will be on the ballot, hoping to fill an empty seat left by former Acting Fire Chief Jeff Costa.

Incumbent committee member Bernard Giroux is running unopposed in District 2, while former fireman Jules Gauthier Jr. hopes to fill an empty seat left by committee chair Terrance Pimental in District 3.

District 1 elections are held at the fire station on 10 Bridge Street, District 2 at the station at 1100 Russells Mills Road, and District 3 at 140 Cross Road.

Voters will only be able to vote in the district in which they live.
