Friends Academy and Bishop Stang will be taking part in a School Choice Fair, giving parents an introduction to the two Dartmouth-based schools as well as a host of others in the region.

The event will be held at the Greater New Bedford Boys and Girls Club on Tuesday, Jan. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The fair will give families insight into the various campuses, including information regarding enrollment procedures, eligibility, class size and extracurricular activities. Each participating school will staff an information table so that families can speak with representatives.

The local School Choice Fair coincides with National School Choice Week. The national movement aims to shine light on a variety of education options for students K-12, including traditional public schools, private schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, home-schooling and online academies.

There will be a total of 14 schools present at the fair.
