Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Thursday, October 19, at 6:30 p.m. to hear local author Leslie Lawrence discuss her journey from breast cancer patient to survivor.  

Ms. Lawrence’s diagnosis came in 2016; five years later, she reached the cancer-free milestone.  To celebrate, she penned her memoir, I’m a lucky woman: A Photographic Memoir of a Breast Cancer Survivor, to give hope to other women experiencing the same diagnosis.  Ms. Lawrence will read from her book. The release coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.  The presentation will be held at Southworth Library.

Leslie Lawrence is a retired marketing strategist who founded and led an advertising agency for twenty years in Springfield, MA.  She chose to retire early to enjoy her family and continue her passion for giving back to others through her volunteer activities.  She and her husband moved to Dartmouth in 2013.
