Going once… Going twice… Sold!: DNRT auction is a wrap

Sep 9, 2022

The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust’s online auction fundraiser finished up on Sept. 1, finalizing a big week of fundraising for the organization.

DNRT Director Nick Wildman called the fundraiser a “great success” reporting that the auction brought in just over the organization’s goal of $15,000.

Wildman credited Outreach and Development Specialist Kendra Parker for making the event possible and thanked donors for providing the 66 items and experiences that were on the auction block.

Highlights of the sale included a hand-built wooden kayak that sold for $1,000, a one-night stay in a local treehouse that brought in $325, and a skippered sail for six that went for $250.

But the biggest ticket item of all was a VIP Fenway Park experience for four — including a private tour and the chance to watch a game from the owner’s box — which sold for $2,200.

Wildman said he was “incredibly grateful” to everyone involved in the auction.

“Hopefully everyone had as much fun as we did,” he said. “We’re looking forward to doing it again next year!”
