Emerging young high school student artists from Dartmouth or Westport are invited to apply for a $500 grant with the non-profit South Coast Artists, Inc. this September.

The grants are aimed at encouraging young artists to explore their field by helping cover costs of art materials and supplies, art related travel, training, classes, apprenticeships, or other expenses toward the completion of a creative project or goal.

Applications and recommendation forms can be downloaded from the “Community” tab at southcoastartists.org and must be submitted by Oct. 1. A recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or other non-family member is required.
