Hadwen C. Perry, Jr., 87, of South Dartmouth passed away on June 3 at St Luke's Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Betsey (Cutler) Perry, and devoted father of the late Thomas Perry, Richard Perry, Christopher Perry, James Perry, and Emily Perry, and stepfather to William H. Cliff, Barbara C. Kowalski, and Elizabeth Cliff-Rafferty.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Hadwen C. Perry Sr. and Abagail (Whipple) Perry. Hadwen was predeceased by his first wife, Rita Jensen Perry, and his sister, Jeanne Evans. Hadwen is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Hadwen was a graduate of Norwich University, class of 1952. He honorably served in active duty as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Fort Ord, California, and then began working as an Aerospace Engineer at General Electric for 39 years first in Cincinnati, Ohio, and then at the Lynn Works, Massachusetts until his retirement.

His celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the Congregational Church of South Dartmouth, 17 Middle Street. Burial will be private.
