The Town of Dartmouth has been awarded $72,000 in grant funds from the state’s Economic Seaport Council, Town Administrator Shawn MacInnes announced during the Select Board’s Dec. 19 meeting.

According to MacInnes, $40,000 is allocated toward a feasibility study on dredging Padanaram Harbor and $32,000 will go toward an economic study of the harbor.

The process on the projects will begin “in the next few months,” MacInnes said.
