Harold E. Santos, 59, of Dartmouth, formerly of Wareham, died July 21 at home with his partner, Joyce Dejesus by his side. He was the son of the late Hazel (Coe) Santos and Ernest Matthews, Jr.

Harold was born in Wareham where he lived until he married Janice Sears and moved to Cape Cod.

Harold loved the outdoors. He worked as a landscaper, always proud of the results of his hard labor. He enjoyed walking, the woods, camping, fishing, a strong cup of black coffee and the Red Sox and Patriots.

Harold is survived by his three daughters: Paula Santos of Pasadena, California, Charlene Mahoney of Hyannis, and Rachel Santos of Brewster. His sisters, Christine Andrade of Wareham, Benvina Santos of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Kimberly Santos of New Bedford; five beautiful grandchildren and many godsons, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings the late Dianne Santos, Frank J. Santos, Jr., Mary Ann Gray and Robert Santos.

A memorial reception will be held at the Dudley Brown VFW, 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road, Wareham, on Sunday, Aug. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Arrangements are by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham.
