The Buzzards Bay Coalition, in collaboration with the Friends of Buttonwood Park and Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust, will hold a cleanup of portions of Buttonwood Brook on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The group will meet in the northeast corner of St. Mary's Cemetery, which is across from Shaw's on Route 6 near the entrance to RT 140.

Bags for trash collection will be provided. The coalition recommends bringing a pair of work gloves for protection. Volunteers are also asked to dress in warm layers, waterproof boots.

The coalition also recommends volunteers bring insect repellent, as ticks are present along the cleanup route, and to have plenty of water to stay hydrated during the cleanup.
