Help clear land trust trails this spring

Feb 19, 2020

Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust is inviting nature lovers and other members of the public to volunteer at a series of work parties to help maintain the trails on several DNRT properties in town.

Volunteers will help pick up trash, tackle invasive plants, trim trails, and perform other tasks at the properties. Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes and long sleeves and pants.

Coffee, water, snacks, and tools will be provided at every event, which will all take place from 9 a.m. to noon.

On Tuesday, February 25, volunteers are asked to help install additional signage at the Ridge Hill Reserve on Collins Corner Road in North Dartmouth.

A work party at DNRT’s newly opened Dodge Reserve will remove invasive plants at the 216 Russells Mills Road property on Thursday, February 27.

Volunteers will also be tackling invasive plants at Parsons Reserve on Wednesday, March 11 at 50 Horseneck Road.

And on Tuesday, March 17, Howland Reserve at 1200 N. Hixville Road will be getting invasive plants removed as well.
