Here’s what the Council on Aging has planned for January
January is just around the corner, and the Dartmouth Council on Aging will be hosting a full schedule of events/activities to kick off 2023.

Here’s what’s coming up next month:
Technology classes
The center will host two sessions. The first, which focuses on the iPhone, will be held Friday, Jan. 13 from 9 to 11 .m. A class on Android devices will be held Friday, Jan. 20 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Cost is $5 per session. Preregistration is required.
Systems of Balance
Hosted by Baystate Physical Therapy, attendees will learn important info about balance disorders, presentations and symptoms, the role of rehab and what to do at home to help. The session will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 11;15 a.m. Pre registration required.
Estate planning for everyone
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m., attorney Brandon Walecka will go over estate planning documents, avoiding probate, long term care planning, tax planning and more. Pre-registration is required.
Popcorn and movie
This month’s showing is the 2022 mystery/thriller “Where the Crawdads Sing.” The free screening will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. Preregistration is required.
Open studio art class
Work on projects with other artists and get instruction on an as needed basis. Classes will be held Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and noon beginning Jan. 17. Cost is $10.00. Walk-ins are welcome.
Parkinson’s support group
Meetings will be held the second Tuesday of the month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 12.
Walk-ins are welcome.
Gentle yoga with Vicki Smith
Classes will be held on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $5.
Line Dancing with Christina
Classes include instruction on a variety of genres of music. No experience is needed.
Sessions will be held Fridays at 1 p.m. Cost is $3. Walk-ins are welcome
Coffee Hour
This is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
Music with friends
Do you love music, play an instrument, or love to sing? Join this informal group on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. to share songs and sounds. Walk-ins are welcome.
Meditation with Lynda
Sessions, which are free, will be held Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m.
Walk-ins are welcome.
Visiting dental hygienist clinic

This will be held the last Tuesday of the month from 10 to 11 a.m.

Free pain consultations
This clinic hosted by Baystate Physical Therapy will be held the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. The clinic is by appointment only.
Hearing clinic
Hosted by At Home Healthcare, hearing evaluations and hearing aid checks will be held the third Thursday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The clinic by appointment only.
Grief Support
The YWCA Widow Person Program will meet at the Center the first and third Thursday of the month. Attendees can attend a meeting that runs from 8:30 to 10 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to noon.
