Here's what the Council on Aging has planned for November

Oct 21, 2020

Although the Council on Aging has suspended its events, programs and classes at the senior center, it is still providing services to Dartmouth residents in need. Here are the COA services coming up for November.

Council on Aging Newsletter

The COA newsletter is available on the Town of Dartmouth website. Visit town.dartmouth.ma.us and click on ‘Departments’ and then ‘Council on Aging.’ Look for the latest newsletter in the left-hand menu. Otherwise, call (508) 999-4717 and provide your email or mailing address to be added to the mailing list.

Thanksgiving Grab and Go

Although the Center’s usual holiday dinner has been canceled due to the pandemic, the COA will be offering a Grab and Go Thanksgiving lunch on Nov. 20 from noon to 2 p.m.

Sign up is required, which can be done by calling the COA. The event is for Dartmouth residents only.

Health and Wellness

Clinics are now open by appointment only including hearing and podiatry clinics. To learn more, call the Center at (508) 999-4717.

A visiting dental hygienist will also hold a clinic. For more information, call (508) 827-6725.

Justice Bridge

For legal advice, the COA recommends reaching out to the Justice Bridge Legal Center, a UMass Law affiliate that can be reached by calling (508) 449-9296 or emailing info@justicebridge.org.

Justice Bridge will also hold a clinic on Nov. 25 from 2 to 3 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call the center.
