High School alumni association awards 21 scholarships to graduated students

The Dartmouth High School Alumni Association President Enid Silva presented 21 scholarships to graduating seniors on the lawn of the High School May 28. The class of 2023 was the 151st class to graduate from the school. The Celeste (Pinheiro) Andrews Memorial scholarship was given to Angelina Ducharme, who will be attending University of Vermont and Julia Pinto, who will be attending Bristol Community College.

The Mary Pinheiro (Class of 1941) 16th Annual Memorial scholarship was given to Leigha Lyn Gippo, who will be attending Salem State University, Hannah Gomes, who will be attending Cape Cod Community College and Leila Oliveira, who will be attending Massasoit Community College.

The Ernest C. Frias (Class of 1946) Memorial scholarship was given to Hollie Raposo, who will be attending Bryant University.

The Maria R. Frias Memorial scholarship was given to Nayan Bala, who will be attending University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Louis Haskell 1st Annual Memorial scholarship was given to Aidan T. Carreiro, who will be attending Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Nina Cunha, who will be attending the University of Connecticut and Jaime Hall, who will be attending Northeastern University.

The Janet (Carlson) Gill (Class of 1947) 4th Annual Memorial scholarship was given to Madlyn Waskiewicz, who will be attending The Joffrey Academy of Dance and Cohen Walsh, who will be attending the University of New Hampshire.

The Robert Gill (Class of 1948) Memorial scholarship was given to Avery Reid, who will be attending Lasell Univesity and Ciara Willette, who will be attending Bridgewater State University.

The Class of 1964 10th Annual Memorial scholarship was given to Graham White, who will be attending University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

The Class of 1993 2nd Annual Memorial scholarship was given to Sophia Gioiosa, who will be attending Stonehill College. 

The Thelma (Wordell) McHugh Memorial (Class of 1925) scholarship was given to Lance Fernandes, who will be attending UMass Dartmouth.

The Doris (Davies) Davenport (Class of 1940) 4th Annual Memorial scholarship was given to Ana Oliveira, who will be attending San Diego State University.

The Lillian Amaral (Class of 1943) Memorial scholarship was given to Ryan P. Arruda, who will be attending University of Rhode Island. 

The Natalie (Rodil) Miranda (Class of 1946) Memorial scholarship was given to Regan Leconte, who will be attending University of New Hampshire.

The Grace (Gifford) Brook (Class of 1954) Memorial scholarship was given to Brendan McGowan, who will be attending University of Kentucky.
