Hike with dogs, help clean trails at DNRT

Mar 9, 2023

DARTMOUTH — The weather is getting warmer and the days are growing longer which makes March a good time to explore the outdoors.

The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust is hosting a series of events this month.

On Friday, March 17 from 9 a.m. the public is invited to help remove invasive plants and maintain the trails during a work party at McBratney Reserve, 668 Smith Neck Road.

Tools, snacks, coffee, and water will be provided. Those attending should dress appropriately and wear closed toe shoes.

Registration is not required for work parties.

Outhounds Adventure invites participants and their dogs to explore Destruction Brook Woods, 205 Slades Corner Road, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 19. Expect about 4-5 miles of hiking on rocky and root-covered paths and a few steep (yet quick) inclines

Help out at a work party at Dodge Reserve, 205 Slades Corner Road, from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 21. Come help remove invasive plants and maintain the trails. Tools, snacks, coffee, and water will be provided. Please dress appropriately and wear closed toe shoes.
