How to place signage around town
Oct 17, 2016
The Dartmouth Building Department would like to remind residents that placing signs on town property without first obtaining consent from the Select Board constitutes a violation of the general bylaws. Additionally, each zoning district has regulations addressing signage.
Signs not in conformance with either regulation are subject to fines of a maximum of $300 per day for each day that the violation exists.
Yard sale and other advertisement signs placed on utility poles and trees must be removed immediately after the event is completed. Residents are responsible for the removal of all signs.
