Jennie L. (Gifford) Reed, 95, of Dartmouth, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Milton Reed.

Mrs. Reed was born in Westport, daughter of the late Alton D. and Susan H. (Jones) Gifford and had been a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. She was a 1942 graduate of Dartmouth High School and prior to her retirement in 1986, she worked as a stitcher for the former Cameo Curtains of New Bedford. She was a member of Dartmouth Bible Church, Dartmouth. Mrs. Reed was an avid quilter, reader and gardener and will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother.

Survivors include her 2 sons: Robert B. Reed and his wife Maria of N. Dartmouth and Jeffrey M. Reed of New Bedford; her 2 daughters: Carolyn A. LePage and her husband Ronald of W. Bridgewater and Nancy L. Wiley and her husband Bruce of N. Dartmouth; brother: Alton D. Gifford of N. Dartmouth; sister: Winifred Wooten of TX; sister-in-law: Lorna Gifford of Dartmouth; 8 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; 1 great grandson; a beloved niece Debra Frade and her daughters; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Donald A. Reed and sister of the late Lewis L. Gifford.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.

Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 a.m., prior to the service.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Dartmouth.
