Keep clam and carry on: Lloyd Center to hold modified clambake and auction
Event has passed
The Lloyd Center for the Environment’s 35th annual Clambake — a celebration of science and education — will look a little different this year.
Typically, the center’s annual fundraising event features a clambake as well as a silent auction, open bar and live music. Due to concerns surrounding Covid-19, the event has a new format including take-home meal options and holding the auction online.
Supporters can order either a fresh lobster roll lunch to be picked up on Friday, July 10 at The Back Eddy in Westport, or a clam boil dinner at Greasy Luck in New Bedford.
Each dinner with come in a reusable, thermal Lloyd Center bag.
Tickets for the clambake may be purchased online at lloydcenter.org/clambake or by calling (508) 990-0505 x10. The deadline to order is July 3.
The auction will occur between July 1 and 10 and is open to all interested bidders.
