Learn about the Lincoln assassination

The Dartmouth Libraries will host a discussion on the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln on Thursday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the North Branch Library located at 211 Cross Road.

The discussion will be conducted by Christopher Daley, who has been lecturing on historical topics of interest for over 25 years., including presentations in Dartmouth going over Irish history and the Roaring ‘20s.

Daley is currently a teacher in the Silver Lake Regional School System and has been involved in several historical organizations including the Pembroke Historical Society and Historical Commission and the John Alden House historical site in Duxbury.

Along with discussing the assassination, Daley will go over the conspiracy behind the tragedy, along with the events of that occurred that fateful day. The discussion will also cover the escape and capture of John Wilkes Booth, as well as the final fate of the conspirators.
