INVITATION FOR BID

The Town of Dartmouth, Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for CONTRACT #24-WPC-01 GENERATORS

Sealed bids will be received by the Department of Public Works, 759 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA, 02748, during business hours, until the date and time of the bid opening.

BID OPENING
Bids will be opened June 25, 2024, at
10:30 A.M. Prevailing Time

All bids shall be plainly marked CONTRACT #24-WPC-01 GENERATORS outside of a sealed envelope.

Contract Documents, including the Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Specifications, and other Contract Documents, may be obtained and/or examined on or after June 5, 2024, at the Department of Public Works, 759 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA, 02748 Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Bid documents are also available electronically, please contact rtavares@town.dartmouth.ma.us.

Attention is called to the fact that supplies furnished as part of this Contract are exempt from the Sales and Use Tax. All bids submitted should take this factor into consideration and be calculated accordingly.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer’s check, or cashier’s check. The amount of such bid security shall be five (5) percent of the value of the total bid.

The contract will be awarded within thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The time for award may be extended by mutual agreement between the Town and the awarded bidder.

No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the actual date of the opening thereof.

The Bidder must furnish a Non-Collusion Form and Statement of Taxes, with their bid.

Proposals must include ALL DOCUMENTS required by the Invitation for Bid. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any or all proposals, or accept other than the lowest priced proposal.

Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, minimum wage rates to be paid and payroll submission requirements under the Contract. Minimum Wage Rates, as determined by the Director of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the M.G.L. c. 149, §26 to §27H, as amended, apply to this Project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before Bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades’ people who may be employed for the proposal work under this Contract.

The Town of Dartmouth reserves the right to waive any informalities in and reject any or all bids, or accept all or any part thereof, to make awards in a manner deemed in its best interest.

Notice is hereby given that a meeting will be held in accordance with the provisions of the Dartmouth Wetlands Protection Bylaw and M.G.L., Ch. 131, §40, the Wetlands Protection Act, on the After-the-Fact Notice of Intent from George and Caryl Moses to restore the unauthorized plant removal of native plant species, to remove yard waste and a tree house, and to construct an addition within the 100-ft Buffer Zone to a Coastal Wetland.
