March events at the Council on Aging

The following is the March calendar of events for the Council on Aging.

March 7

10 a.m. A van will provide transportation to a walking excursion, led by CoA staff.

March 8

9:45 a.m. Officials from Southcoast Urgent Care will visit the Senior Center to give an overview of its new facility on State Road.

12 p.m. Dartmouth Middle School students will perform in a talent show at the senior center.

March 14

10:30 a.m. Van pickup will bring Dartmouth residents from the senior center to the Southworth Library for a trip to the “'Our' Story: 400 Years of Wampanoag History” multimedia exhibit. Call ahead to reserve a spot.

By appointment. Legal consultations will be offered.

March 15

12:30 p.m. The center's St. Patrick's Day party will include lunch and entertainment. Pre-registration is required.

March 16

10 a.m. A van will provide transportation to a walking excursion, led by CoA staff.

March 20

10 a.m. A van will provide transportation to a walking excursion, led by CoA staff.

March 27

10 a.m. A dietician will visit the center and discuss the Mediterranean diet.

March 28

9:30 a.m. The Council on Aging will host volunteer informational sessions for those interested in volunteering at the senior center.

March 29

10 a.m. Non-profit organization FIVE Wishes will give a presentation on advanced care planning.

10 a.m. A van will provide transportation to a walking excursion, led by CoA staff.

March 31

9 a.m. A blood pressure clinic will be held.

10:30 a.m. Van pickup will bring Dartmouth residents from the senior center to the Southworth Library for a trip to the “'Our' Story: 400 Years of Wampanoag History” multimedia exhibit. Call ahead to reserve a spot.

TBD. A Board of Health R.N. and a Rite Aid representative will give a presentation on Shingles, with a vaccination clinic to follow on April 28.
