Mary "Connie" Kabala, 77

Mary "Connie" Kabala, age 77, of Dartmouth, passed away November 2 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Donald P. Kabala.

Born in Agua de Pau, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lucy (Mello) Branco. Connie was the owner and operator of Connie's Salon of Beauty in Dartmouth for many years.

In addition to her husband of thirty-two years, she is survived by 3 daughters: Lori Rosa and her husband Jorge of Nort Dartmouth, Lynn Cousens and her partner Richard Moniz of South Dartmouth, Deana Kabala of Silver Spring, MD; and a son: Donald P. Kabala and his wife Angela of Port Tobacco, MD; a son in-law: Eric Cousens of New Bedford; a sister Natalie Gonsalves and her husband Victor, of Fairhaven; seven grandchildren: Kendra, Kelsey, Denim, Caileigh, Jordan, Ava and Maria and several nieces and nephews. She was the widow of Richard M. Garcia.

Connie was also the sister of the late Iria Kabala.

Her funeral mass will be held on November 12 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 783 Dartmouth St., South Dartmouth. Burial will follow in the South Dartmouth Cemetery.
