Missing teen found safe
Dartmouth Police on Thursday announced they located a teen who was reported missing earlier this week.
According to the announcement, Asa Gonsalves, 17, was safely located in Pennsylvania and has been reunited with his family after he was last seen in town on Oct. 29.
Police thanked everyone involved in the "collective and impressive effort" to find the Dartmouth teen.
Dartmouth detective Sean McGuire and Crime Analyst Keri Lebeau collaborated with law enforcement and civilian partners across Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, along with the National Center fro Missing & Exploited Children. Police also thanked residents who shared Gonsalves’ information.
“I personally could not be prouder of everyone for the collective and impressive effort put forward in making sure this story had a happy ending,” a Facebook post from the Dartmouth Police Department read.
