Myrna D. (Chase) Lamontagne, 95, of Dartmouth died Tuesday, November 19, 2024 after a period of declining health.  She was the wife of the late Rene J. Lamontagne.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence (Brooks) Chase, she lived in Acushnet and then later Dartmouth, where she resided for most of her life.

Myrna was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 1947.

She was formerly employed as a teacher's aide for New Bedford Public Schools until her retirement.

Myrna loved going to the beach and for many years would spend her summers living in her trailer on Sconticut Neck in Fairhaven.  She also enjoyed playing cards, reading, and watching cowboy movies.

She is survived by her three children, June Lamontagne, Gail Lawrence, and Scott Lamontagne and his partner April Enos; two great-granddaughters, Desarae Sylvia and Felicia Lawrence; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Gregory Lawrence.
