A New Bedford resident sustained serious injuries after a motorcycle crash in Dartmouth on Sunday evening, according to a press release from the Dartmouth Police.

Wayne Soares, 57, of New Bedford, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after crashing his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Rockland Street at around 6 p.m. on June 28.

The Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the incident.

According to the release, Soares’ current medical status is unknown.
