A New Bedford woman died Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash that left two other passengers with serious injuries.
State police said troopers from the Dartmouth barracks responded to the crash on I-195 westbound in Dartmouth shortly after 10 p.m. and found a Jeep Cherokee off the side of the highway.
Upon arrival, emergency crews identified passenger Eleanor Estrella, 63, of New Bedford dead at the scene.
A second passenger, a 17-year-old girl, was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver, a 25-year-old New Bedford woman, suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
The two survivors were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital.
