New committee to oversee police station reuse seeking members

Mar 20, 2019

Town officials are forming a new committee to shape the future of the former Dartmouth Police Department building, and need the community’s help.

The Select Board is seeking residents interested in joining the new committee. The committee will be tasked with coming up with recommendations and estimated costs for the disposition of the Dartmouth Police Department’s 249 Russells Mills Road headquarters building.

The building itself has been condemned. Since then, the department has been working out of modular buildings located behind it. A new police headquarters is being built on Tucker Road.

Residents interested in serving on the committee should contact the Town Administrator’s office at (508) 910-1813 for more information.
