Next week’s online challenges for Dartmouth kids
The “Dartmouth Parents 14.0” Facebook group competition, which has been listing daily challenges for kids to complete since the start of the school closures, has announced next week’s challenges.
Parents can submit photographs or video to the group (after joining it) or by emailing maryewaite@gmail.com. Guest judges — high school and middle school students who aren’t taking part in the competition themselves — will look over the submissions and choose categories and winners, who get certificates emailed to them.
Next week’s challenges are as follows:
Monday: Make a timeline of your life or your parents’ life (include important dates like the day you were born) or make a family tree! Interview a parent or grandparent.
Tuesday: Design and play out a 10-15 minute routine using things you find at your house - jump rope, bouncy ball, hand weights, somersaults, hopping on one foot, etc. Draw out the routine/list the exercises. Challenge your siblings, parents, or take a picture and email to a friend.
Wednesday: Make a special dish, snack or meal for your family. Make invitations for your family and set the table.
Thursday: Make an outdoor house. It should include a place to cook, a place to sleep and a place to eat.
Friday: Make a fancy or silly hat.
