On Sunday, May 16, crews from Dartmouth Fire District No. 1 along with the Dartmouth Harbormaster responded to a boat fire in Padanaram Harbor, according to a release from the fire district.

No injuries were reported, as the fire was contained to the outboard engine, the release stated.

The boat was located near the harbor’s breakwater off Ricketson’s Point.

According to the statement, Tow Boat New Bedford and several good Samaritans also assisted during the incident.
