Outer Cape birding and whale watching tour
On May 16, the Lloyd Center will host a day of birding and whale watching. The day starts in Beech Forest, where many breeding birds have arrived for the season.
The group then boards the Dolphin Fleet, a whale watching vessel stationed at Provincetown Harbor. The trip brings participants to Stellwagon Bank, known for its diversity of marine life including whales and seabirds.
Attendees should bring a lunch, extra layers of clothing, hiking shoes and binoculars or a camera. Pre-registration is required by noon on May 15. Cost of admission for members is $60 or $75 for non-members. The van departs at 7 a.m. and should return approximately at 7 p.m.
